									AMBASSADOR ADRIEN MEISCH

The combination of Diplomacy and music has always been a "leitmotiv" in
the career of Adrien Meisch.

A lover of music from his childhood, he never missed a chance to continue
his musical studies. Parallel to his Ph.D diplomas in law (Paris) and
history (Oxfortd), Ambassador Meisch studied with Walter Gieseking in
Germany, Erwin Emmerich in New York, Lev Oborin in Moscow and Leon
Fleisher in Baltimore.

During his long career as Ambassador for his country, Luxembourg, Adrien
Meisch used his piano playing to open doors and to facilitate contacts
throughout the world. He was twice Ambassador to Moscow -- once under
Brezhnev to the Soviet Union and later under Yeltsin and Putin to Russia
and the Confederation of Independent States. During his postings in
Moscow, he played with David Oistrakh, Mstislav Rostrpovich, the Borodin
Quartet and the Chamber Orchestra of Moscow. He played many times in the
Kremlin for Prime Minister Primakov.

While Ambassador to the United States and Germany, he played at the White
House and for the President and Chancellor of Germany. He has been on
nation-wide television in Germany, Russia, the United States, and France.

Today, Ambassador Meisch is using his considerable diplomatic and musical
skills to help him discover, explore, and advance new aspects of the
universe, namely in science, cosmology and the environment.
