ECOSYSTEM Ecosystems are made up of living and non-living things. Ecosystems are interactions of living (biotic) and non-living (abiotic) components. Ecosystems are made out of producers, consumers and decomposers. Matter and energy are necessary for all ecosystems. Natural changes (e.g. weather) can cause changes in an ecosystem. Human activities can change ecosystems also (e.g. pollution, cutting down trees) Technologies have been developed to manage wastes that humans generate.
