BEHR HELLA SERVICE APPOINTS TECHNICAL SUPPORT
January 17, 2008 - Behr Hella Service Australia announces the appointment of two highly
experienced and industry renowned technical support specialists, Mark Carroll and Neil Riley.
Mark Carroll, 44, is no stranger to the thermal management industry having spent 22 years with
Denso Australia prior to joining Behr Hella Service. He started on the Denso production line in
1986 and worked his way up to production engineering before joining the automotive sales
team in 1998. From this point Mark successfully managed the ICE radiator specialists group,
forming an advertising collective that lifted the trade profile of this detailed aftermarket sector
considerably. This also made Mark personally known to most thermal management industry
Mark’s appointment to Behr Hella Service’s growing Australian operations assists the company
to operate a highly reliable and knowledgeable independent aftermarket technical centre in
Melbourne. Mark brings the benefit of established relationships along with a wealth of
experience to Behr Hella Service.
“This is a very exciting role for me as I am almost starting from scratch with a brand that has
major growth potential in thermal management, particularly in relation to the supply and
customer support of commercial vehicle products. Behr Hella Service offers premium OE
quality thermal management products which I am sure will make a major impact in the
replacement market in the very near future,” Mr Carroll said.
The second Behr Hella Service appointment originated from Hella Australia’s internal ranks,
with Neil Riley joining the Behr Hella Service technical support team. Neil will use his decades
of experience gained as an auto electrician to assist Behr Hella Service distributors and branch
networks with air conditioning application engineering and parts interpretation. The 47 year old
started his career as an auto electrical apprentice and has worked in the industry ever since. He
operated his own successful auto electrical business for 18 years before joining Hella Australia
in January 2006.
“This role enables me to provide highly detailed and personalised service to a much smaller
and highly specialised customer base. I am looking forward to generating strong customer
relationships as Behr Hella Service becomes more prominent in the Australian automotive
aftermarket,” Mr Riley said.
