Minimum Requirements
    High School Diploma/GED or any combination of education, training, or experience that would qualify
      the candidate to successfully perform in the position.
    Capable of climbing stairs, ladders, etc., carrying reasonable loads, shoveling snow, operating gas
      powered equipment, and other manual tasks as required to maintain the buildings in first-class
      condition.
    Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this position.
    Willingness to participate in in-service training programs.
    Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodations.

Preferred Qualifications
     Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work harmoniously with staff, students, and community.
     Previous experience in commercial cleaning and mechanical/carpentry work.
     Training and experience working with population relevant to the assigned school.

Role Responsibilities
     Perform operations as scrubbing, mopping, sweeping, waxing, dusting, etc., involved in the cleaning of
       school buildings by using hand or mechanical cleaning tools.
     Provide a presence to protect school against fire, and discourage theft, and/or damage by trespassers.
     Care for and/or check (as required in the site schedule) the heating/air conditioning system whether it is
       low pressure, steam, hot air, electric, or oil fired system.
     Assist with and/or make minor emergency repairs.
     Clean and care for the grounds.
     Keep work records and inventory of custodial equipment and supplies, and order supplies when
       necessary.
     Demonstrate courteous and professional demeanor to all stakeholders of Washington County Public
       Schools.
     Other duties as assigned.
