I have just completed my University degree in Games Design, achieving a First. I am keen and hungry to build upon the valuable knowledge I have gained, primarily within Maya, Photoshop and UDK. Education and Qualifications 2008/11 University of Central Lancashire BA(Hons) Games Design – First Class Maya, Photoshop, UDK, CrazyBump 2005/07 Norton Hill School 6th Form A Levels – Psychology, History and Politics 2000/05 Norton Hill School GCSE – 9 passes at grade ‘C’ or above, including Maths, English and Science (B’s) Work Experience 2007/08 Bedminster Down School – Learning Support Assistant (LSA) Helping children with behavioural problems to concentrate on their work. I feel I gained an array of communication skills, the ability to work in a team with both teachers and LSAs, as well as solving the problem of managing each individual child’s special needs. 2006/10 J.G Marquees – Marquee Erector (summer time only) Working as part of a tight knit team to erect large marquees (100ft +). This was a physically demanding job that was made easier through solid communication, good teamwork and trust in my fellow workers. 2005/07 The Old Station Inn - Waiter As a waiter I gained valuable experience in working under pressure. This also required good time management and clear communication with the chefs to get the all the food served correctly. Skills I am proficient in Microsoft Office Software, Adobe Photoshop, Autodesk Maya and Epic’s Unreal Development Kit. I have a clean, full drivers licence. I am willing to travel for a job. Interests and Activities Games – Games are a true passion of mine and I have been playing them since ever I can remember. I have built up a vast library of knowledge on the subject with an exceptional understanding of the design process and the teamwork necessary for their creation. Football – I have been playing football from junior level right up to adult. I have played for some top local teams such as Radstock Town and Paulton Rovers. This has given me solid communications skill whilst also cementing the importance that teamwork plays throughout life. Travelling – I have travelled to various parts of the world. I think this has helped round me as an individual and keeps my mind open to other people’s views and beliefs as well as developing my communications skills with people from a completely different culture. Ten Tors – Whilst at school I completed both the Bronze and Silver Ten Tors hiking expeditions - 35 and 45 mile expeditions respectively on Dartmoor spanning only a day and a half. This was a physically and mentally draining exercise that required solid teamwork, patience and resilience.
