Direct Response Technologies, Inc. (Formally known as DirectStuff.com, Inc.) Lead Designer – 4/99 – 7/2004 Responsible for designing and maintaining all the major web sites the company owned. Designed brochures, banners, flash presentations and site introductions. Managed teams and performed Q&A. Listed below are sites I designed. The layout, front page, and head graphics were done with Illustrator, Photoshop, ImageReady, and Editplus. General maintenance was done with the help of 1-2 programmers and another designer. 90% of these required that the layout be completed and implemented within 1-2 weeks.
DirectResponse.com – http://www.directresponse.com
This is the company‟s website and reflects the company‟s business goals and achievements. I designed the quick flash introduction in addition to the layout and all graphical elements for the web site. I also designed earlier layouts for this web site as well. GiftCards.com – http://www.giftcards.com This site is currently in development, however, the web site layout and examples of functionality are viewable. DirectTrack.com – http://www.directtrack.com This is again a site which shall cater to advertisers providing them with a tool to monitor their revenues and leads in the DirectLeads program. My role involved designing a simplistic design and layout.
ContactTool – http://www.contacttool.com/
Designed the logo, layout, and architecture of this email list web-based software tool. DNEList.com - http://www.dnelist.com/ Designed the logo, layout, and architecture of this tool that allows merchants and advertisers to comply with the CAN-SPAM act by creating, maintaining, and publishing, a „Do Not Email‟ List. CommissionCards.com (In Development) – http://commission.cards.directhosetnet.com
DirectLeads - http://www.directleads.com
This site happens to be a prime site for the company attracting huge revenues through advertisers. It required a sleek design using company colors. Due to the requirement that most sectional links be placed on one page, DHTML menus were used. My role involved the designing and layout of the site catering to the requirements of the users.
DirectNewsletters.com – http://www.directnewsletters.com
Designed the layout to feature all Newsletter sites the company owned. Most of the newsletter sites, with the exception of MyFreebies, was done by another designer.
MyCoupons – (Request screen shot)
This is a website from which users can find online coupons. This caters to a very large user bas with at least 10,000 visitors everyday and a discussion board with 8000 active users at any time. This site is extremely popular and hopes to beat online coupon sites like CoolSavings.com and Save.com. This design was specifically done with minimal graphics for faster loading due to high usage of banners and other placed advertisements. Designed the earlier layouts for this web site as well. MyCoupons Network – http://www.mycouponsnetwork.com This site actually caters to the advertisers and network partners who want to put in online coupons in MyCoupons.com and also want to use tools to build online coupons for their own site. Again, an extremely successful site which has had a revenue growth doubling every month since it‟s inception about 3 months ago. The main overtone was required to be calm and serene. Use of the My Coupons‟ color scheme was stressed. Secure Coupons Functionality – http://www.mycouponsnetwork.com The secure coupons concept tries to evolve a secure way to redeem CPG coupons online. This is a relatively new technology which involved some research to build a secure way of redeeming and printing good quality coupons. I interacted with programmers in building this innovative software. I designed and used ActionScript (Flash) to develop a method of distributing secure, barcode-printable coupons on MyCoupons web site.
DirectCertificates – http://www.directcertificates.com
An e-commerce web site featuring gift certificates, this site‟s design was required to be expandable in the browser window with little main content on the index page. Was responsible for the design of earlier layouts for this web site.
MyFreebies – http://www.myfreebies.com
Designed this „freebie‟ layout to communicate “lots „o free stuff” and to easily enable users to subscribe to and manage their subscription to the DirectFreebies newsletter. Past layouts for this web site was also designed. DirectStuff.com Employee Intranet Was asked to learn PHP and implement within 2 weeks. It strictly uses an HTML-based layout with no bitmap graphics. Designed earlier layouts for this web site in addition to the current one. Newsletter and DOTD Adspace PHP was used to develop a backend for scheduling advertisements placed on newsletters and a Deal of the Day spot on MyCoupons web site.
