properties, and has a £30m turnover. We also provide support and care
services in a wide range of accommodation either on our own or working
in partnership with one of a number of different agencies.

Customer Service The Association has an enviable track record of providing customer
orientated services to tenants and service users. Our most recent survey
indicated that 93% of tenants were satisfied with the service Orwell
provided – our highest rating ever and well above industry norms.

Company Culture The Association aims to offer people the opportunity to enhance their
quality of life by providing safe and comfortable homes with the support
they need to enable them to make choices and decisions about the way
                        they live.
The philosophy behind all of our decisions is that our tenants are capable
of making choices about their own lifestyle and their home. Where this
may be difficult for people, we do everything we possibly can to support
our tenants to participate in making choices and decisions.
We have been described by our competitors as a medium sized
                        organisation with big ideas.

Equality & Diversity As an employer and landlord we have adopted a Single Equality Scheme
that recognises unlawful discrimination in relation to the nine “Protected
Characteristics” of age, disability, gender re-assignment, marriage and
civil partnerships, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, sex
                        and sexual orientation.
We are the first housing association in the East of England to have
achieved accreditation by the Investors in Diversity standard at stage 1.

Development The Association has been developing affordable housing and supported
accommodation in East Anglia for almost 50 years and has gained a
reputation for building high quality homes that make a real difference to
                        local communities.

Opportunities Friendly and passionate people are key to our success, and we are keen
to recruit and retain like-minded people.
We have achieved and maintained Investors in People status since 1996,
and are committed to staff development, learning and training.
