The meeting was called to order at 6:05 pm

Introductions

Principal’s Report

Chili Supper/Auction was great, thanks to everyone who attended and contributed. We don’t have the
totals yet.

Cowles has a guest artist who is working with the students to create tile mosaic for the office/front entry
area. Students have come up with a design to represent Cowles visually.

Mrs. Moore has worked out a partnership with Banker’s Trust to help Cowles students learn about
saving and banking. Banker’s Trust will be coming to give some talks on the value of savings and how to
do it to the upper elementary students. They will also allow students to start a savings account for as
little as 25 cents. Next year the program will spread to other levels at Cowles.

There will be yearbooks for Cowles. We will start taking orders after the Sweetheart Dance. More info
to come in an upcoming Newsletter from Mrs. Moore.

Funding Request

CMPG approved $75 for the DJ for the Sweetheart Dance

Old Business

Cowles Sweetheart Dance is Friday Feb. 12th. The charge is $5 per family. The Pre-K through 3rd grade
will be from 6 pm – 7pm with the 4th through 8th grade 7:30 pm – 9 pm. Jolesch will take photos at the
dance they will be $3 per photo or $5 for two. There will also be ice cream available for purchase with
20% of the proceeds going to Cowles CMPG. If you want to volunteer or have decorations, please email
trishkarsjens@gmail.com
