By Kimberly Ossenberg JMM Tri-Chair Santa is coming early to CTK’s Gymnasium and Cafeteria on Friday, November th 13 , 2009. Kathleen Flittner will serenade our shoppers with Christmas Carols at the 4th annual Christ the King PTO Jingle Mingle Mart. This exceptionally unique event is showcasing over 60 merchants which is becoming a seasonal shopping tradition in the Tri-State. This is a great opportunity to get your holiday shopping kicked off at a one- stop shop! The Jingle Mingle Mart Committee has been working tirelessly to make this another successful fundraiser for CTK. Nancy Folz, JMM Tri-Chair, has been donating her time and talent in decorating the flyers. CTK teacher, Nicole Wolf, is involved this year on the committee and created a Facebook page for our event. Amie Bishop is teaming up with other CTK parents, Stacy Gries and Wendy McCool, to have a fabulous silent auction featuring products from our vendors and businesses within our community. Karen Cain, JMM Tri-Chair, is ready for the behind the scenes action needed from her Accounting skills during the evening of JMM. With so many different specialties being represented you are sure to find a present for everyone on your list. Many of our veteran vendors will return to CTK such as Dakri Sinclair. Dakri will be offering personalization on Christmas ornaments with her modern, funky designs. CTK’s Jingle Mingle Mart is quickly earning a reputation for attracting quality merchants. Lynn Muehlbauer, CTK parent, has been recruiting local and regional retailers. One of our new vendors is from Terre Haute, Indiana. Modern Charm is the name of their booth and they specialize in handmade goods such as belts, purses, and hair accessories in a vintage, cottage style. Stephanie Egan is the owner of Modern Charm and she came last year to Jingle Mingle Mart with St. Ben’s Parent, Amy Samm. Stephanie was impressed with the size and quality of our show and wanted to be a part of it this year. From the front doors being hand painted by local artist Cynthia Watson to the lovely Holiday decorations throughout CTK you are sure to get in the holiday spirit. This is one of CTK PTO’s biggest fundraiser and we are looking forward to seeing a large crowd come out and spread some Holiday Cheer! The Jingle Mingle Mart is open to the public and the entrance fee is $5.00. This is a great opportunity to get a group of friends together to bond over shopping for a charitable cause. Be ready to sample gourmet coffee from The Coffee Cottage, smell hand made soy candles by Leandra’s Candles, and delight in the holiday apparel from specialty retailer Excursions. For the nature lover on your list stop by Wild Birds Unlimited booth to find that perfect gift. The Red Poppy will feature owner, Dana Thomas, unique taste for home décor and gift items. Baby and Me Designs is featuring on-site embroidery service this year at Jingle Mingle Mart. Call your friends, spread the word, and get ready to have an exciting evening of shopping at the Jingle Mingle Mart on November 13th from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A new twist this year is the addition of themed Christmas trees to our Silent Auction. If you are interested in designing and donating a Christmas tree please contact Kim Ossenberg at email@example.com or 204-1438. Some ideas of themed Christmas trees are a Green Eco-Friendly tree, a Sports theme, or a Hobby Theme. The ideas are endless. Without volunteers from the CTK community this fundraiser would not exist. Please consider donating your time to help make this another successful Jingle Mingle Mart. Contact volunteer coordinator, Claudine Fairchild, at firstname.lastname@example.org or 454-2198.
