EVENT DETAILS
PLAYFAIR is unlike anything else you have ever experienced. It’s entertainment! It’s Fun! It’s
the perfect way to make new campus friendships! And PLAYFAIR is more than just an
entertainment event – it is a team building experience that has a long-lasting effect on the
members of our campus community. PLAYFAIR is more than just a non-threatening way for
your new students to meet each other – PLAYFAIR is a powerful program for campus unity and
school spirit.
The Office of Student Engagement is looking for 30-40 student leaders to help the professional
facilitator lead this event. Student Assistants must be available starting at 5pm on Friday,
August 19, 2011 and will work until 1am that evening. The schedule of events is as follows:

      5pm- Dinner, Distribution of T-Shirts
      6:30pm- Playfair Training
      8pm- Gather students from residence halls
      8:30pm- PLAYFAIR
      10:00pm- Inflatable Games
      11pm- Outdoor Movie
      12:30pm Clean Up

APPLICATION PROCESS

Please turn in the following documents to the Office of Student Engagement (PSU 101) by 5pm
on Friday, April 29, 2011 in ordered to be considered for a PLAYFAIR Student Assistant position:
    Signed Statement of Understanding
    Application
    On an additional sheet of paper, please submit a short (one page max) explanation of
     why you want to be a PLAYFAIR Student Assistant and what you will bring to the
     program

STATEMENT OF UNDERSTANDING

If I am selected to serve as a PLAYFAIR Student Assistant, I understand that I will be required to
participate from 5pm- 1am on Friday, August 19, 2011. I am aware that I will be representing
Missouri State University throughout the night with the primary goal of ensuring new students
feel like they belong at Missouri State. I will wear the official Welcome Night t-shirt throughout
the event.
