Distribution of Content requires students to complete 2-2000 level courses in 2 of the 3 following areas: Phy/Bio/Math Sciences; Humanities; or
Social Sciences.

One course that meets the State Law Requirement: History 1100, 1200, 2210, 2440, 4000, 4220 or 4230 or Political Science 1100 or 2100.

Business electives include Ag Econ 2223, 3150, 3224, 3283, 3294 & 4295. With permission: Acct 2258 and business courses 3000+

PFP 4380 is WI and fulfills the 2nd WI requirement for students under the Financial Planning Option. Students in the Farm &Ranch Option will
need to select a 2nd WI course at the 3000+ level. Students in the Public Policy Option will need to select another WI course at the 3000+ level. The
course must be an upper division course in the major.
Communication Electives

Only three credits from courses designed as an applied skills class may be used
Courses must be from at least two different departments
University exception allows 12 hours of the same foreign language to be used to complete 6
hours of Humanities requirement and 3 hours of Communication Elective
One course cannot be used to fulfill both a Communication and Humanities requirement
Approved Courses in Production Agriculture: Courses offered in the following departments will fulfill the production
agriculture requirement:
Agricultural Systems Management; Animal Science; Biochemistry; Biological Engineering; Fisheries & Wildlife; Food
Science; Forestry; Natural Resources; Plant Science; Soil & Atmospheric Science; and the following sustainability courses
Ag 2215 Introduction to Theory & Practice of Sustainable Agriculture
Ag 3215 Community Food Systems
Ag 3315 Plant & Animal Systems in Sustainable Agriculture (course offered fall 2012 semester as Ag 4001,
section 2, Advanced Practices in Sustainable Agriculture)
The following departments do not offer production agriculture courses:
Agriculture (except Ag 2190 or as otherwise noted above); Agricultural Economics; Agricultural Education; Science &
Agricultural Journalism; or Rural Sociology.
Courses in Parks, Recreation & Tourism and Hospitality Management are not accepted as production agriculture
courses.
Public Policy Electives Students in the Public Policy option must chose from the following for a total of 9 credit hours or
have courses approved by the advisor chair:
