									Joe B. Hill

A resident of Nashville, Tennessee, Joe is the Director of Human Resources at StoneCrest
Medical Center, the newest HCA/TriStar facility in Tennessee. Mr. Hill has a Bachelors degree in
Sociology and his Masters degree in Organizational Management. He was on the Tusculum
College faculty for six years and has recently taught courses at Middle Tennessee State
University and Vanderbilt University. Mr. Hill serves as the Legislative Liaison for the Tennessee
Society for Healthcare Human Resources and received the 2006 Paul Guy Award for mentorship
in the Human Resources profession from the American Society for Healthcare Human Resources
Administration. He is a graduate of Leadership Rutherford, a Chamber of Commerce program for
local business leaders in Rutherford County. Joe is also active with organizations such as the
American Cancer Society, United Way and Nashville Cares.

Joe began working with the Miss America system in 1984, assisting with the Miss Montevallo
pageant, a preliminary to the Miss Alabama Scholarship Pageant. Since that time, Mr. Hill has
judged numerous Miss America pageants across the country. Most recently, he has served on
the panels choosing Miss Pennsylvania’s Outstanding Teen 2006 and Miss Nevada 2006. In
addition to judging in the Miss America system, he has served as a judge and emcee at other
local, state and national competitions. He is currently the Executive Director of the Miss Central
Tennessee and Miss Pioneer Scholarship Pageant, a preliminary to the Miss Tennessee
Scholarship Pageant where in the past four years, his title holders have earned over $20,000.00
in scholarship monies.
