Tops:· Traditional short sleeved, collared Polo shirts with no more than 3
buttons. o Gold for 6th grade o Black for 7th grade o Gray for 8th grade No
logos except GBMS Middle School.
Khaki uniform style pants. Bermuda length shorts or Capri pants may be worn
from August until the last Friday in September and beginning the first day after
Spring Break. No logos.

·School uniform jacket. School sweatshirt. Solid black, gold, or gray jackets.
1.Under the Mobile County School Board Policy, all students must wear a school uniform. Any student who is out
of uniform may not participate in the regular instructional program. 2.School uniforms are expected to be neat,
clean, in good repair, and they should properly fit the student. 3.Shirts must be tucked in at all times so that the
waistline/belt is visible. No folding or blousing of shirts will be permitted. 4.Team/Club shirts may be worn on
Friday when cleared by the sponsor through the office. 5.Regular uniform pants must be full length and cannot be
rolled or folded to a shorter length. They must be the appropriate length, neatly hemmed, and should not be
worn below the waist. They may not be frayed, split, or cut at the bottom. NO CARGO, CORDUROY, SPANDEX,
DRAWSTRING, OR JEAN STYLE PANTS ALLOWED. Pants are to be uniform style, with inside pockets, fitted at the
waist, and they must have belt loops. NO OUTSIDE POCKETS, STITCHING, OR RIVETS ALLOWED. 6.**Khaki
uniform shorts may be worn from the beginning of the school year through September 30. SHORTS WILL NOT BE
WORN AFTER SEPTEMBER 30. Shorts should be no more than two inches above the knee. Restrictions: See #5.
7.*Skirts should be NO MORE THAN 2 INCHES ABOVE the knee, and they must not be rolled at the waist. It is
suggested that girls wear shorts under their skirts. 8.No body piercing except for the ear lobes. Studs or small
hoops only. One necklace may be worn on the inside of the shirt collar. Wallet chains are not permitted. The
school will not be responsible for lost, stolen, or loaned jewelry. No sweatbands. No jelly bracelets. 9.Hair must
be neat, clean, and out of the eyes. Hair may not be altered with distracting, unnatural colors, cuts or designs.
10.Undershirts must be solid white, black, or gold. If a student chooses to wear a long sleeve undershirt, it must
match the uniform shirt. 11.Hats or head coverings are not to be worn on campus during school hours or on
buses. 12.No visible tattoos or writing on the body. 13.No facial hair. 14.There should be no logos of any type,
other than the official school logo, on the school uniform. Examples of inappropriate logos are Tommy Hillfiger,
Duckhead, Nike swoosh, etcetera.
