Maria Sullivan Most recently, a consultant to helping serve Atlanta not-for-profit organizations in creating an infrastructure as well as fund raising and creating donor partnerships for coalitions serving families, marriages and youth throughout Georgia’s communities. Organizations such as Prevent Child Abuse Georgia, North Atlanta Family Network Atlanta Outward Bound. Georgia Family Council and Chris Kids. Until late 2007, Maria was the Eastern Manager for the Home and Family Division of Franklin Covey (NYSE:FC). The primary focus is to strengthen family, youth, marriage and community as well as help to create a solid infrastructure for successful and sustainable community coalitions focusing on strengthening families and marriages. Creating a solid platform of volunteers, assisting with marketing of events, building partnerships is part of this role. She is also a national speaker and facilitator for the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, 8 Habits of Highly Successful Marriages, 7 Habits of Highly Successful Families, and Smart Steps for Step Families, and 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens. Prior to joining FranklinCovey, Maria served as the Vice President of Marketing for Provant -Project Management, Inc. (NASDAQ: POVT.), a performance improvement training organization. Her primary focus was to re-brand the organization in all aspects of marketing and sales support. Maria also served as the President of Backcountry Adventures. Backcountry Adventures is an outdoor, leadership and mentoring organization for youths with offices in Georgia, Colorado and Southern Florida. She created and developed all of the youth and mentoring programs and developed partnerships with Sage Fly Fishing, Dagger Kayaks, Perception Kayaks, Old Town Canoe and many others as well as REI retail outlet stores. She currently actively participates on the Board for the Georgia State Commission through the Supreme Court to help Strengthen Marriage, Family and Youth, The Atlanta Falcon’s Women’s Association, Prevent Child Abuse, Minds in Motion (foster care org), She is also an active volunteer with the Hillside Hospital and respite foster mother, and Prevent Child Abuse Georgia; Chairperson to Fun Fete Gala for Prevent Child Abuse Georgia February 2009.
