Norville Optical announces a major support campaign for local
practices to the public on Mylocaloptician.co.uk
Norville, have initialised a major campaign starting now and continuing over the next year
on mylocaloptician.co.uk, the commercial public awareness website for vision care and vision
products. Their campaign is aimed at helping the Independent Sector to attract more
customers for specialist ophthalmic products and by providing advertising support.
Norville aims to educate spectacle wearers with the help of Mylocaloptician about the benefits of the
many specialist products, frames, lenses and accessories that they provide and can be purchased from
local practices supporting Norville.
Public visitors which currently exceed 4000 per month and are increasing are directed to practices
stocking a range of Norville products within local PCT area, from the “Find my optician” directory on
the site. Practices purchasing significant volumes of Norville products will be provided with a full
advertising page worth £175 pa with a free featured enhanced entry within their PCT area. Smaller
purchasers will be given the featured entry only, worth £75 pa.
The Norville advertisements will be linked to educational and informative articles on the public site
about innovations in eyewear that help spectacle wearers in work, recreational and specialist sports, in
addition to highlighting the latest news on frames and spectacle lens technology. These will be backed
up by a series of ads on the Primaryhealthnet.com the professional site for the Optical sector reinforcing
the message to the dispensing and optometry community about current campaigns which can be
changed up to 12 times per year on the site.

capability to stimulate the public about exciting fashion ideas, indicate where to find their
nearest stockist and at the same time advertise to the profession with full information re-
enforcing the message and encouraging uptake and sales,” said Frank Norville.
The page ads purchased for practices will have the same multifunctional ability as all pages on
Mylocaloptician.co.uk with the power to include pictures within the copy plus any downloadable file
which might be a brochure, menu of costs or promotional voucher. The individual practice will be in
control of the copy provided.
