      The meeting commenced at 6.30pm.

      Resolved: Minutes of meeting held 13 May 2008, having been circulated to all
      members, were taken as read, approved and signed by the Chairman.

157   MATTERS ARISING

      None.

      MATTERS FOR DECISION

      Prop. D Wenn, Sec. G E Withers.

      That this Council agrees to take the specified action in respect of each of the "Matters
      for Decision" items as listed on the Agenda dated 4 June 2008 and debated at the
      meeting held on 10 June 2008.

      Agreed.

158   CALVERTON HORTICULTURAL SHOW

      Request for sponsorship.

      Prop. D Wenn, Sec. W Mellors. Donation of £200.00. Agreed.

159   CEMETERY FEES

      Letter from Mr J V Shaw re cemetery fees – request for detailed response. Detailed
      reply to be sent.

160   FOOTBALL PITCH FACILITIES

      Football pitch applications for 2008/09 season.

      Agreed to accept all existing users.

161   106 MONIES

      Prop. D Wenn, Sec. W Mellors.

      That this Council is resolved to allocate the section 106 monies received from the Main
      Street development to the provision of 1) a teenage shelter, and 2) a children’s slide at
      James Seely Park.

      Agreed.

162   PARISH NOTICE BOARD

      Prop. D Wenn, Sec. D S Musson.

      That this Council is resolved to provide a new vandal resistant notice board on the site
      of the former Parish Notice Board adjacent to the Library.

      Amended resolution:

      Prop. D S Musson, Sec. D Wenn.

      That Councillor D S Musson will open discussion with the Library to provide facilities in
      their window for formal notices. The Parish Council to consider refurbishment of the
      former Parish Council Notice Board adjacent to the Library, without provision of weather
      protection.

      The amendment was carried and became the substantive motion.

      The substantive motion was agreed unanimously.

163   INTERNAL AUDITOR

      Prop. G E Withers, Sec. A G Barton.

      That this Council resolves to appoint K J Eaton & Co as their internal auditor.

      Agreed.

      That this Council resolves to apply for a company credit card, internet banking and a
      short-term bond, subject to all Council safeguards and bank criteria.

      Agreed.

165   EXCHANGE OF INFORMATION REPORTS BY COUNCILLORS WITH LIAISON
      RESPONSIBILITY

      Exchanges of information took place.

      Cemeteries – W A Peet to obtain price for replacement of memorial board for next
      meeting.

      Environment and Footpaths – problems with footpath 18 and two outside parish
      boundaries reported. Clerk to contact NCC.
