LPS Oakland is seeking a successful School Office Assistant for a dynamic part-time position at an urban, charter
high school. The Office assistant is a part-time position reporting to the School Manager

The successful Assistant combines a track record of managing projects, a can-do orientation, and an unrelenting
focus on results. We are open to considering flexible schedule or part-time status for this position. The mission of
Leadership Public Schools is to prepare students to succeed in college and to develop effective student leaders.
LPS Oakland campus, is seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to coordinate the academic support provided
to students who are struggling academically.


       Answers incoming phone calls, receive visitors and parents, answers questions and direct to appropriate
       Maintains supplies by checking stock to determine inventory levels; anticipating requirements; placing and
        expediting orders; verifying receipt; stocking items; delivering supplies to work stations
       Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance; troubleshooting failures; calling for repairs;
        monitoring equipment operation; monitoring and purchasing meter fund
       Maintains student CUM records
       Receives/Distributes incoming/outgoing mail/packages
       Completes Data entry for incoming students and regularly update PowerSchool records
       Assists with attendance management as needed
       Provides clerical support and assistance to office manager and Principal where necessary
       Supervises computer lab as necessary
       Assists with student recruitment and enrollment

    Ability to perform complex, specialized office work involving independent judgment and requiring speed and
    Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others
    Experience in a fast-paced administrative support position, experience in a school front office or relevant
        comparable work is preferable
    Demonstrates critical thinking and problem solving skills
    Proficiency with Microsoft Office, experience with PowerSchool data base preferred
    Spanish fluency required
    Professional attitude and appearance to meet school standards
    Ability to work effectively with regular interruptions
    Flexibility/Dependability/Attention to detail
    College credits/degree preferred
