Budweiser Clydesdales Return to Thanksgiving Weekend Family Favorite
34th Annual Macomb County Santa Parade

MOUNT CLEMENS, Mich. – After recovering from the annual over-eating, families
should come to watch the 34th Annual Macomb County Santa Parade, presented by the
City of Mount Clemens. The Budweiser Clydesdale’s are making their parade return.

The parade steps off at 10 AM on Friday November 27, 2009. Santa Claus will be
presented with the Key to the City at 11:30 AM on a stage at Clinton and Main Sts.

Ron Savage, WJBK Fox 2 Reporter and weekend news anchor, will be this year’s
Grand Marshall. Mr. Savage also hosts Fox 2’s Michigan Most Wanted program.

Ron Savage has strong interest in firefighting and EMT work. To honor one of his
passions, this year’s Macomb County Santa Parade will be focusing on Macomb
County’s firefighters.

Over 100 parade units are expected to participate once again this year. This includes
marching bands, service clubs, corporate sponsors, youth groups, and many others.

Returning after a long absence, the Budweiser Clydesdales will be a major attraction at
this year’s parade. Macomb County Anheuser-Busch Brewing Company distributor
Petitpren Inc. has been integral in ensuring this crowd favorite makes a parade return.

After the parade, families will be able to have their picture taken with the Budweiser
Clydesdales. The photography site will be near Clinton and N. Main Sts., right at the
end of the parade route.

their pictures taken with Santa Claus and Grand Marshall Savage at the parade.

The Santa Parade route begins in Downtown Mount Clemens on Main St. at Church St.
and it runs north over six blocks to Clinton St. Portable restrooms and announcers are
stationed along the entire route.

In its 34 years, the parade has become a Macomb County tradition, and the Macomb
County Santa Parade is the county’s only holiday parade held over the Thanksgiving
holiday weekend.

Four marching bands including the Mount Clemens High School Band add important
hoiday music to the event. The First Michigan Colonial Fife & Drum Corps and the
Carbar Feida Pipes and Drum will also be adding live music.
