Michigan Community Colleges

      Number of schools testing all new students:                       6
      Number of schools testing all students in mathematics:           12

      Of schools that test only those students with designated ACT scores:

             Schools using ACT composite:         Alpena and GRCC
             Schools using subscores:             All others


      There are 28 Michigan community colleges. Twenty of them determine further
      testing or placement on the basis of ACT sub scores in English and reading;
      fourteen of them determine further testing or placement on the basis of ACT sub
      scores in math. Remember that six test everyone and 12 test everyone in math.
      Alpena uses the composite so they are not represented on this chart. Bay Mills
      does not use ACT scores so they are not represented either.
