R13 000 – R15 000 per month cost to company – including benefits
Permanent skilled level position at the Kumon Durban Office in Suite 2B, 9 Sunbury Crescent,
Sunbury Park, La Lucia Office Estate, Durban.
Benefits: Medical Aid, Pension Fund.
Working within a team of Area Managers you will be the main contact of support and
communication to franchise instructors of a selected number of Kumon Centres.
This challenging role involves:
Proactively managing and implementing all aspects of centre development, ensuring
that the centres in the area reach and maintain quality standards enabling them to
meet growth and quality targets.
Maintaining close working relationships with franchised Kumon Instructors throughout
assigned geographical area.
Regularly visiting all centres within the assigned area and to provide timely and detailed
management information i.e. current performance levels and proposals and guidance
information on improvement areas.
Monitoring Instructors performance and conduct regarding the delivery of Kumon
Method and Brand and to draw any concerns to the Regional Manager's attention.
Working closely with the Regional Manager to identify any issues and concerns
regarding Centre Development and implement change as and when required.
Initially, there will be an intensive 12 month training programme which will equip the Area
Manager with the knowledge and experience to ensure development of the franchises , and the
company as a whole. This will include (but not limited to) working at a Kumon Centre, product
knowledge, working with experienced Area Managers and various in depth trainings.
We are looking for individuals who possess the following:
Enthusiasm for learning and development
Great communication skills (written and verbal)
Experience and or working knowledge within education and a practical understanding of
franchise business would be advantageous but is not essential.

should be able to cope well under stressful situations and also be able to multi-task at an
advanced level. Openness to continual learning, challenges and feedback on development is

-Excellent time management
-Good presentation and training skills.
-Computer literate on MS Office
-Training and facilitation skills.
-Business management experience preferable.
-Valid driver’s license.
-Senior Certificate, and a relevant degree or diploma.
-Ability to travel.
