									         Celebrate the Past, Present, and Future
              Kiwanis District Convention
                   August 3 – 5, 2012

On behalf of the eleven Kiwanis clubs, our UNM CKI club, our
Aktion club, twelve Key Clubs, four Builder’s Clubs, our
Kiwianis Kids club, and over 800 members in division 2, we welcome you to
Albuquerque, Corrales, and Rio Rancho for the Kiwanis Southwest District Convention.

Take advantage of the many ventures this near-mile high area offers you. Experience
the diverse cultures in our rarified atmosphere. Take in the many restaurants and
unique shops in the 300-year old original “old town” and the casual nob hill.

Then move to regional shopping in northeast Albuquerque at Coronado Shopping
Center and Uptown Center; but don’t forget the Cottonwood Center in northwest

Sample the museums, theatres, and performing arts at the University of New Mexico’s
Popejoy Hall. Experience Opera Southwest at the historic downtown Kimo Theatre.
Enjoy the culture, history, food and art at the Indian Pueblo Center, and the Hispanic

Take the family to visit the bio park, and the wine country of the ten wineries in our
immediate area. Don’t forget the Balloon Museum, located on the Balloon Fiesta

                                           Albuquerque is one of the Southwest’s best
                                           golf destinations. Biking and hiking trails are
                                           clustered around the foot hills. Use the Road
                                           Runner Rail for trips to Los Lunas, Belen, and
                                           Santa Fe.

                                           Last, but not least, enjoy the panoramic view
                                           from the top of the 10,300-foot Sandia Peak.
