Dear Sir or Madam:
I currently work for Focus on the Family, a ministry organization that is focused on providing help an
assistance to help families thrive. I work in the IT Application Hosting and Production Department. My
current duties are to support the deployment and integrity of the multiple web servers, web applications,
business applications, and anything that is considered Production. The technologies that I consistently work
with, and administer, are, but not limited to Microsoft IIS 6.0 & 7.0, SUSE Linux, MS SQL, Windows
Servers 2003 and 2008. I work with BigIP F5 servers to load balance our network. The Focus server base is
primarily Microsoft, but includes Linux. We incorporate both Virtual Servers using VMware and physical
I have moved many of our websites to a Sitecore CMS 6 solution. I, also, support both home grown CMS
applications using WSP 1.5 and WSP 2.0, from Superlative Solutions, as legacy content management,
which runs on ColdFusion 7.0. I recently migrated a LAMP based Joomla 1.5 application to our servers on
the SUSE Linux side of the house.
I have great proficiency in Microsoft Technologies. I earned my A+ certification in 1995, with proficiency
in Apple, Microsoft, and UNIX Technologies. My primary focus is administering UNIX, however, and I
have supported the development and implementation of full SOA using BPMS, in order to consolidate,
normalize and regulate the data structures used by Focus.
My experience, previous to becoming employed by Focus on the Family has been in working directly with
many of the currently popular pre-processing technologies. Since 1999 I have worked with php, jsp, and
cfm. ColdFusion, cfm, is one of those technologies that I used to build many websites with, while in the
employ of Jones International Inc. I developed and produced their Accreditation website, using ColdFusion
MX connected to a Microsoft SQL Server 2002 database. I also built their Graduation Ceremony website
using ColdFusion connected to a Mysql database. I have installed the ColdFusion Server on both Windows
platforms and within a UNIX environment, using both Sun Solaris server and a SUSE Linux Server. Jones
Global Library used a self developed Electronics and Technical online Encyclopedia that was developed,
by me, in php and migrated from the php environment to a ColdFusion environment when the technology
of choice moved to ColdFusion. This was built connecting to a MS SQL database. I have set up and insured
connectivity between Oracle databases, MS SQL Server databases, Mysql Database servers and the
ColdFusion Servers employed by Jones. The Oracle database employed by Jones was used primarily for
their online educational content management system, which I maintained both as manager and developer.
