                                  NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

FY 2011 SMALL CITIES COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (CDBG) FUNDS

   FORMULA ALLOCATION AND NEIGHBORHOOD REVITALIZATION PROGRAMS

                                      MIAMI COUNTY, OHIO

The Miami County Board of Commissioners intends to apply to the Ohio Department of Development
for funding under the Fiscal Year 2011 Small Cities Community Development Block Grant (CDBG)
Formula Allocation and Neighborhood Revitalization Programs, federally funded programs administered
by the State of Ohio. Miami County is eligible for $182,000 of CDBG Formula Allocation Program
funding and $300,000 of CDBG Neighborhood Revitalization Program funding, provided the County
meets applicable program requirements. On February 17, 2011 Miami County conducted its first public
hearing to inform citizens about the entire CDBG program, how funds may be used, what activities are
eligible, and other important program requirements.

Based on both citizen input and local officials’ assessments of the County’s needs, Miami County is
proposing to undertake the following CDBG Formula Allocation Program activities for Fiscal Year
2011:

This second of two required public hearings will be held on Thursday, July 14, 2011 at 1:45 p.m. in the
Commissioners’ Hearing Room, 1st Floor, Safety Building, 201 West Main Street, Troy, Ohio to give
citizens an adequate opportunity to review and comment on the County’s proposed CDBG Application,
including the proposed activities summarized above, before Miami County submits its application to the
Ohio Department of Development. The application deadline is July 29, 2011.

Citizens are encouraged to attend this public hearing on July 14, 2011 to express their views and
comments on the County’s proposed CDBG Formula Allocation Program Application and CDBG
Neighborhood Revitalization Program Application. The Miami County Safety Building is a
handicapped accessible facility. If a participant will need auxiliary aids (interpreter, Braille or taped
material, assistive listening devices, other) due to a disability, please contact Nikki Reese, Community
Development Program Manager prior to July 12th at (937) 440-8110 in order to ensure that your needs
will be accommodated.
