VP of Programs (Will Patton)
    Will chaired our program today in Nancy’s absence.
    Reminded everyone that we have M&M’s on the table. Remember that they are there to enjoy as
       dessert and also to remind us to “Mix and Mingle”.
    Our Supervisor/Manager training conference will be held 9/21/06 at the Northport Civic Center.
       Please be planning for your managers and supervisors to attend. It should be a great training
       experience. Cost is $99 for non-members and $75 for members. Sharon Lavoy will be our
       keynote speaker. The topics include:
          o 7-10 Things to Stay Out of Legal Trouble.
          o Functional Accounting for Managers.
          o Strategic Planning.
          o Coaching & Mentoring
          o Lessons from the Bench
    Flyers for this conference should be ready within the next couple of weeks.
    Our June speaker will be Mayor Walt Maddox.
    Introduced Tom Scroggins as our speaker for this month. Tom presented “Legal Update 2006”.

Ambassador Program (Pamela Jones)
   This month we had a “networking activity”. Each member and guest chose a letter that assigned
     them to a particular table. Pamela asked each person to get to know the person sitting tohis/her
     right. We were to find out that person’s name, title, where they worked, and one interesting fact
     about them. Then, Pamela asked several people to stand and tell us something about the person
     sitting to their right.
   Mary Gibson is better and is expected to make a full recovery. She is currently in Glen Haven
     Rehab and Pamela has her address if anyone wants to contact her.
   Brandi Langford, Wyetta Morrow, and Danielle Hargrove have all just received their Masters
     Degrees in Management from the University of Alabama.
      Sherrie Faulkner has received the “Excellence Award” from DCH Regional Medical Center.
      Russell DuBose is not in our meeting today because he is in Washington, DC receiving the
       Douglas McArthur Leadership Award.

     Tom was our speaker today so he gave us a comprehensive legislative update during his
        presentation.

Certification Advocate (Victoria Perry)
    Several of our members are taking the PHR or SPHR this month. Everybody keep them in you
       thoughts and send them good “vibes” this month.
