The Cathedral Scrip Program Committee would like to welcome all Cathedral families back to school for the 2012-2013
school year. There have been many changes at our school in the past few months and the scrip program is no exception.
The good news is that, during this transition period, scrip will remain available for purchase and all families are
encouraged to use it! Remember that 50% of the profit earned from scrip purchases credited to your family will be
available to you in the form of a tuition credit for the 2013-2014 school year! The more you use, the more you save!
As a new group of volunteers takes the reins, we want to express our sincere gratitude to Sandy Peterson for all of her
hard-work and dedication as Scrip Coordinator over the past years. She managed all the day-to-day scrip business and
spent countless hours building relationships with area businesses. She procured a solid base of very generous local
vendors. On behalf of all Cathedral families we THANK YOU, Sandy, for successfully transforming a small scrip program
into the very important tuition assistance program it serves as today.
Please note that scrip is no longer available in the main office at Cathedral School. During the month of September,
scrip will be available for purchase in the Rectory, across the street from Cathedral School, from 8:00am to 3:00pm on
normal business days. We will also host the first of many scrip store hours where you may purchase scrip directly from
us, right at school. Next week’s scrip store hours are from 7:45am to 8:15am on Wednesday, September 12th, and
Friday, September 14th, in room 203. Please remember: while we do our best to keep the box well-stocked, as always,
scrip is available on a first-come-first-serve basis. Watch for future store hours in the weekly Looking Ahead!
The best way to ensure receiving the scrip you want, in a timely manner, is to place an order. Weekly orders will be due
in the drop box (located in the main office) by 8:00am on Mondays and will be ready for pick-up during scrip store hours
on Friday mornings, and throughout the day in the main office. The first order will be made on Monday, September
17th, and will be available for pick up on Friday, September 21st. Watch in the office and online for our new order
forms. Also, we will no longer be sending scrip home with students via their classroom teachers. All scrip orders will
need to be picked up and signed out, in person, either during scrip store hours or in the office on Fridays. Families who
would like their child to pick up scrip orders to bring home will need to sign a permission slip for us to keep on file.
Further instructions and permission slips will be available with the new order forms as well.
We ask for your patience and understanding as we our new team learns the ropes and adjust to changes being
implemented in the program. If you are looking for ways to earn service hours, we are currently looking for more
volunteers to help with order processing and the scrip store. If you are interested in volunteering, or have any
questions about the program, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
