Bucks Cricket Board - Cricket Development Officer (North)
One Year Fixed Term Contract (subject to funding) – Salary £18,000 per annum plus expenses
The Bucks Cricket Board Ltd is seeking a highly motivated and competent Cricket
Development Officer (CDO North) to support the work of the Cricket Development
Manager (CDM) in delivering the strategic plans of the Bucks Cricket Board.
As the newly appointed CDO, your main area of responsibility will be supporting
Chance to Shine Club projects and delivery of related programs in the North of the
county. In particular, you will be responsible for the development of Girls Talent ID,
establishing a Girls Under 11Club competition, increasing school competition numbers,
supporting and developing clubs with disability projects and increasing the number of
junior sections with our affiliated clubs. The main delivery will be in schools, clubs and
other community settings.
The officer will look to increase young people’s participation in the sport by ensuring a
high-quality, enjoyable, young-person-centred experience and provide guidance on
progression opportunities based on the young person’s interests and abilities.
You will be expected to work on your own initiative and have excellent organisational,
communication and leadership skills. Due to the nature of the role, you must be
flexible to work unsociable hours (evenings and weekends) and have access to a car
and hold a clean driving licence. You must hold an ECB Level 2 coaching qualification
as a minimum and have extensive coaching experience. You will also be required to
hold an enhanced Criminal Records Bureau Disclosure through the ECB.
