1ST PERIOD (8:00 – 9:20 A.M.)
 5K                         Come join us for a fun and exciting summer while getting ready for five year-old
                            Kindergarten. This half-day program runs from 8:00-12:00 and allows your child the
        Half Day Jump       opportunity to stay in one classroom. They will have the chance to experience a regular

5K-2                        If you enjoyed Literature Look-A-likes last summer, we have ALL NEW projects to help
                            you better connect to reading this summer. Our class will read, listen or watch stories
                            together and then create an artistic representation from the themes in the book. The
        Literature Look     product may be a piece of art, a dramatic skit, a craft or something to eat. You will have

5K-2                        Do you love music, movement, and animals? Then this is the class for you! Based upon
                            Carnival of the Animals composed by Camille Saint-Saens, students will learn the animals
                            represented in the suite and the music and instruments they depict. Songs,
           Lions, and       dance/movement and basic music concepts will be combined with art and literacy

       Kangaroos…Oh My!
5K-2                        This Spanish class will introduce students to a variety of Spanish children’s recipes and to
                            the Spanish vocabulary needed to prepare each recipe. Class time will be spent learning
                            the cooking vocabulary and also preparing the recipes chosen by the children. Recipe
                            possibilities include: Pizzas en piruleta (pizza lollipops) and Batidos de Frutas (fruit
                            smoothies). Songs related to food will also be introduced. Each child will receive a recipe

                            booklet at the end of the class. This program will provide a basis for your child’s later

5K-3                        Step beyond the pages of your favorite fairy tale and into a world of imagination as you
                            wear the shoes of your favorite princesses. Together we will explore the classic tales
                            through reading, storytelling, and hands-on activities. From tiaras to tea parties, glitter

 3-5                         Games Galore offers students an awesome opportunity to participate in various indoor
                             sports and activities. Activities and sports include: Pirate Ball, Floor Hockey, Kick Ball,

 3-5                         Pack your bags for a trip across the U.S.A! From California to Illinois we will explore

 4-8                      Remember the show “Whose Line is it Anyway?” Come join the fun in a school-friendly,
                          student appropriate adaptation of the show in this improvisational acting class. Get out of
                          your shell and get ready to laugh while you develop your acting abilities. Students will
                          learn improvisational techniques, then put them to the test in improvisational games such

                            sports and activities. Activities and sports include: Pirate Ball, Floor Hockey, Kick Ball,

 3-5                        This Spanish class will introduce students to a variety of Spanish children’s recipes and to
                            the Spanish vocabulary needed to prepare each recipe. Class time will be spent learning
                            the cooking vocabulary and also preparing the recipes chosen by the children. Recipe
                            possibilities include: Palitos de queso (breaded cheese sticks) and Batidos de Frutas
        Spanish Cooking     (fruit smoothies). Songs related to food will also be introduced. Each child will receive a
                            recipe booklet at the end of the class. This program will provide a basis for your child’s
                            later Spanish language learning at his or her school. (World Language, Math, Music)
 3-6                        Look out American Idol. We’re looking for the next singing stars. As we focus on the
                            mechanics of vocalizations, we’ll practice professional presentation. Using karaoke or

                               course you will have the chance to take the role of a detective and solve some cases using
                               computers, books, and hands-on investigations. So, if you’re up to the challenge put on
            Mystery            your Sherlock Holmes’ Hat and joins other sleuths on the trail of mystifying adventures!

 5-8                           Get a workout in every day of summer school! Each class will be an hour + of exercising to
                               music that you love. Cardio, strength training with resistance tubes and stretching will
                               make up the daily routine. Students will need “gym” shoes, energy and the urge to move

 5-8                           Tie the flies that fish can't resist--at least those in Wisconsin waters. Learn how to tie
                               your own flies including wooly buggers and other favorite fish foods. Become familiar with
                               these hand-tied flies that imitate fish foods. Get acquainted with the equipment, tools,
                               materials and various hooks needed to lure trout and other fish species from their hiding
                               places. Participants will leave this class with a pile of hand-tied flies for use on
        Wooly Buggers and
        Pink Squirrels and     Wisconsin’s waterways. Introductory level fly-tying kit will be provided including: vise,
       Chernobyl Ants OH       bobbin, thread, hooks, and fly tying material. (Physical Education, Science)
