					                              YESTERDAY, TODAY, AND TOMORROW
                                        SABBATH DECEMBER 22, 2007
                            VICTORY EVERLASTING GOSPEL CHURCH
“And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? Verily I say unto you, there shall not be
left here one stone upon another, that: shall not be thrown down.
And as he sat upon the Mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, tell us, when
shall these things be? And what [shall be] the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?”
(Matthew 24:2, 3)
Let us pray
Christ prophesied the ruins and destruction coming upon the temple. He tells of the destruction of all worldly
glory in keeping us, the world, from admiring it and overvaluing it. JESUS says in Mark 13:2 “Seest thou
these great buildings? There shall not be left one stone upon another that shall not be thrown down.” In A.D.
70 this prophecy was fulfilled when Titus a Roman general destroyed much of Jerusalem including the
temple.
“Men will continue to erect expensive buildings, costing millions of money. Special attention will be called to
their architectural beauty and the firmness and solidity with which they are constructed, but the Lord has
instructed me that despite the unusual firmness and expensive display, these buildings will share the fate of
the temple in Jerusalem.”--5BC 1098 (1906).
JESUS SAYS IN (MARK 13; 5-6) “Take heed lest any [man] deceive you: For many shall come in my
name, saying, I am [Christ]; and shall deceive many.”
In Matthew 24: 24 He also says, “For there shall arise false Christ’s, and false prophets, and shall show
great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if [it were] possible, they shall deceive the very elect.”
“We need to be anchored in Christ, rooted and grounded in the faith. Satan works through agents. He
selects those who have not been drinking of the living waters, …” Who is the living water? (JESUS)
“And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that
believeth on me shall never thirst.” (John 6:35).
Like I said, “Satan works through agents. He selects those who have not been drinking of the living waters,
whose souls are athirst for something new and strange, and who are ever ready to drink at any fountain that
may present itself. Voices will be heard, saying, "Lo, here is Christ," or "Lo, there;" but we must believe them
not. We have unmistakable evidence of the voice of the True Shepherd, and He is calling upon us to follow
Him. He says, "I have kept my Father's commandments." He leads His sheep in the path of humble
obedience to the law of God, but He never encourages them in the transgression of that law.” {5BC 1099.1}
“In the Ten commandments God has laid down the laws of His kingdom. Any violation of the laws of nature
is a violation of the law of God.” {1BC 1105.3} “If ye love me, keep my commandments.”
They may tell you they have the authority of Christ. If you believe this, which many will, then you have been
deceived. Your lantern has run out of oil. Church the oil is your life line. If we do not have it, we perish. (First
Samuel 16:13) says, “Then Samuel took the horn of oil, and anointed him in the midst of his brethren: and
the spirit of the LORD came upon David from that day forward.” God is letting us know that the horn filled oil
was the Holy Spirit. That was yesterday. The Holy Spirit must come upon us today and continue into
tomorrow.
The five foolish virgins represent the membership within the body of the church which was unprepared.
They are like the fig tree without fruit. They are like a coin lying on the dusty ground, not knowing who they
are or where they are; or even understanding that they are lost.
They have no talent. In other words they’ve made no progress, no gain and have not grown. They have not
invested themselves into the word. They had little faith or none at all. Be prepared, when Christ comes, be
vigilant keep plenty of oil in your lamps.
You know the story about the ten virgins, "Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins,
which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom. And five of them were wise, and five were
foolish. They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them: but the wise took oil in their
vessels with their lamps. While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept. And at midnight there
was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him." {GC 393.3}
                                                                                                                   1
The lamp represents the word of GOD. (Psalms 119: 105) says, “Thy word [is] a lamp unto my feet, and a
light unto my path.” The oil is the Holy Spirit. (John 14:14 through 18 says, “If ye shall ask any thing in my
name, I will do [it]. If ye love me, keep my commandments. And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you
another Comforter that he may abide with you for ever; [Even] the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot
receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall
be in you. I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.”
You lose the light you lose the Holy Spirit.
Always be prepared, keep your faith strong and continue too study the word of God. This is being taught
over and over and over again especially here at Victory Everlasting Gospel Church. Your adversary the devil
as a roaring lion walketh about. Keep plenty of oil in your lamp study the word, keep plenty of faith more
than enough faith. Remember the devil is seeking whom he may devour.
Jesus goes on in verse seven of Mark and says, “And when ye shall hear of wars and rumors of wars, be ye
not troubled: for [such things] must needs be; but the end [shall] not [be] yet. For nation shall rise against
nation, and kingdom against kingdom:”
In (Revelations 16:14) it says, “For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, [which] go forth unto the
kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.”
In 1994 genocide was being committed in the east-central part of Africa. Nearly one million people were
killed. Most of the nations of the world ignored it for a long time. Church, that country was Rwanda.
In 2001 terrorists commandeered four passenger airliners. One was forced to crash in a Pennsylvania field,
another into the pentagon, and as we all know two others took down the world trade center buildings. Over
3000 people lost their lives. Then in 2003 the U.S. of America invaded Iraq.
In the summer of 2006, a 34 day war was started by a terrorist group called Hezbollah. They fired short and
medium range rockets into Israel killing innocent people.
In the past you had World War 1 and WW2; the Korean and Vietnam wars; the Gulf war and the Bosnian
massacre.
I can go on an on, but what I am attempting to show you is that you must study your Bible and your secular
history. Christ prophecy of yesterday stands true at this present day and will stand tomorrow. Nothing has
changed church other than time and the world’s lack of faith in our lord Jesus Christ. The bridegroom had to
leave, but he did say he would be back.
The five foolish virgins, representing the faith of the majority within the church, was not as strong as they
thought for they had gotten lazy and indifferent. When Jesus slowed His roll, (delayed His coming) what did
they do? They did yesterday what the people are doing today, and will do again tomorrow; they are not
looking for Jesus.
What is happening here brothers and sisters, is we have two separate groups of people. (Revelation 22:11)
says, “He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he who is filthy, let him be filthy still…” Those are the
unrighteous people of the world, who claim to be of the church. “…and he that is righteous, let him be
righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still.” The way it looks now church the remnant of the
S.D.A. church will be the only ones going to meet the Bridegroom when He opens the door to heaven.
They, the unrighteous, will let their faith slowly drift away. Their oil in the lamps will burn lower and lower.
Their lamps will run out of oil. In other words the Holy Spirit will leave you, little by little. They went back to
their old ways. And when Jesus came, remember now He is never late the door of heaven was opened for
the ready righteous who’s faith was as strong as ever. They accepted the wedding invitation and walked
through that door to heaven. Then the door was closed. The people of the world came a knocking and
Jesus said, I never knew you.
Do not get me wrong church, some still had faith but little faith. Some of the people did replenish their
lamps; they got back into the word. It was too late, they, the church or people of the world, had too little faith.
They took no time in recognizing the invitation that was given them was for eternal life. You see a little faith
does not get you into heaven. Studying the Lord’s words and keeping a strong faith was not in their picture
for eternal life.
Something tragic has to happen for people to need and want God. You can not wait for trouble to come and
then start calling on God. He has been there all the time. Where were you? Probation is about to run out.
                                                                                                                  2
If you keep on doing what the people did yesterday, and keep on doing what they are doing today, and keep
on doing what people will continue do tomorrow; the door will be shut and you will not be able to see your
way through that door way to heaven. Your invitation will be rejected. The door will be closed; the light will
go out.
You must not let the oil in your lamp run out. (The Holy Spirit) Keep studying the Word. Keep a strong faith
base with the Lord. Work with the GOD given grace that was given to you. You did not earn it; it was given
to you for a price.
Civilizations of all age, size and shape will suffer through wars and rumors of war. Oct.2007, you have a
rumor going on now, Pakistan and Iraq.
We need Christ in our lives more than ever today. Prayer seems to be lost in this world we live in. Do we
not know that the devil is leading us down the path of unrighteousness? Some churches can not see what
happened yesterday is happening today and will continue to happen tomorrow. Something is wrong with this
picture.
You can not spend one or two hours a week in church and expect the Holy Spirit to stick with you. You
spend more time with your toys, cars, new houses, vacations, and making as much money as you can. For
what, you can not take with you. Your strong faith and continual studying of the word you can take with you
as it shapes your character.
Even some of our own Seventh-day Adventist churches are being led astray. I’m glad as a Seventh-day
Adventist and a member of the Victory Everlasting Gospel Church here in South Hill Va. I was shown and
taught how to keep the faith and to never stop studying the word and still I am being shown and taught the
right way on how to see the light of yesterday, today, and what to look for tomorrow.
I have my lantern full of oil; do you? And if you do, do you have spare oil? Those that would be saved, must
have grace of their own and those that have most grace have none to spare. The best need more for Christ.
We know not the hour.
(Revelation 11:18) says, “And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that
they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the
saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.”
This means in short, the Gentile nation will be subjugated, (conquered or subdued). The wrath of God will
take vengeance on the enemies, the dead of all ages will be judged. Old Testament and tribulation saints
who have died will be raised and rewarded. Those who have tried to destroy the earth will themselves be
destroyed by God. And God who can not tell a lie will continue to be faithful fulfilling His covenant promise.
Jesus goes on in Mark 13 verse 8 of to say, “…and there shall be earthquakes in diver’s places, and there
shall be famines…” Here we are talking about people starving to death each and everyday with all kinds of
diseases and troubles; “…these [are] the beginnings of sorrows.” All this happened yesterday and it is
happening today as I speak and it will continue into tomorrow.
Verses 9 - 11, “But take heed to yourselves: for they shall deliver you up to councils; and in the synagogues
ye shall be beaten: and ye shall be brought before rulers and kings for my sake, for a testimony against
them. And the gospel must first be published among all nations. But when they shall lead [you], and deliver
you up, take no thought beforehand what ye shall speak, neither do ye premeditate: but whatsoever shall be
given you in that hour, that speak ye: for it is not ye that speak, but the Holy Ghost.”
Reformer Martin Luther nailed his protest in defense of faith to the doors of Wittenberg church. He refused to
recant his faith when brought before church tribunals. Do we have that kind of faith? I would hope so.
But when they shall lead [you], and deliver you up, take no thought beforehand what ye shall speak, neither
do ye premeditate: but whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak ye: for it is not ye that speak,
but the Holy Ghost. If you keep studying the word of prophecy which is the Word of Jesus you will never go
wrong. Your lamps are lit and full of oil and no man can take the light the Holy Spirit from you. It is
embedded in your heart and in your mind.
The Holy Spirit will guide you in your hour of trials and persecution but may not provide an escape from
persecution or even death.

                                                                                                             3
Verses 12 & 13 “Now the brother shall betray the brother to death, and the father the son; and children shall
rise up against [their] parents, and shall cause them to be put to death. And ye shall be hated of all [men] for
my name's sake: but he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.”
The ones who endure physically will be delivered into Christ’s kingdom. This is a physical deliverance from
tribulation.
Jesus goes on in Mark 13:14-23 to say,
“But when ye shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it
ought not, (let him that readeth understand,) then let them that be in Judaea flee to the mountains:
And let him that is on the housetop not go down into the house, neither ente [therein], to take any thing out
of his house:
And let him that is in the field not turn back again for to take up his garment.
But woe to them that are with child and to them that give suck in those days!
And pray ye that your flight is not in the winter.
For [in] those days shall be affliction, such as was not from the beginning of the creation which God created
unto this time, neither shall be.
And except that the Lord had shortened those days, no flesh should be saved: but for the elect's sake,
whom he hath chosen, he hath shortened the days.
And then if any man shall say to you, Lo, here [is] Christ; or, lo, [he is] there; believe [him] not:
For false Christ’s and false prophets shall rise, and shall show signs and wonders, to seduce, if [it were]
possible, even the elect.
But take ye heed: behold, I have foretold you all things.”
Now the answer to the second question in verse 4 is being answered. When will all these things be fulfilled?
What are the signs?
You have the abomination of desolation which is described in (Dan. 9:27; 11:31; and 12:11). (Dan. 11: 31)
says, and arms shall stand on his part, and they shall pollute the sanctuary of strength, and shall take away
the daily [sacrifice], and they shall place the abomination that maketh desolate.
Antiochus polluted the altar by offering a sow upon it. He declared the daily sacrifice and other Mosaic
ceremonies illegal and committed an abomination of desolation by erecting an image of Zeus in the holy
place. In Matthew 24:15-28; and Luke 21:25-28 Jesus said things like this would happen before his coming.
Verse 19 in Mark refers to Jeremiah 30:7 the time of Jacob’s trouble. Jesus told you before hand not to be
deceived.
Here again people were deceived yesterday and here again today. How many people today are running
around claiming to be god? Small g. and people believe them. Or claim they have the authority of God. Here
the pope himself has millions deceived. With all this information and technology out there we are too smart
for our own selves. Yet, we are not smart at all. You can read that in (Dan. 12:4).
We close with verses 24-27 of Mark,
“But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light,
And the stars of heaven shall fall, and the powers that are in heaven shall be shaken.
And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory.
And then shall he send his angels, and shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the uttermost
part of the earth to the uttermost part of heaven.
Verses 24 and 25 talks about the great astronomical disturbances that will happen prior to Christ’s return.
Verse 26 shows the distinction between the false prophets of verse 22 and the true coming of our Lord
Jesus Christ.
Turn to and let’s read (Dan. 7:13, 14 and 27). “I saw in the night visions, and, behold, [one] like the Son of
man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before
him.”

                                                                                                                4
Daniel saw one like the son of man, indicating that He is not a man in the strict sense, but rather the perfect
representation of humanity.
Verse 14 “And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and
languages, should serve him: his dominion [is] an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his
kingdom [that] which shall not be destroyed.”
Here the son of man will reign over all things as the regent of almighty God. You can read this in (Eph.1:20-
23; Phil. 2:9-11; Rev. 17:14; 19:16).
Verse 27 “And the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven, shall
be given to the people of the saints of the most high whose kingdom [is] an everlasting kingdom, and all
dominions shall serve and obey him.”
Verse 27 shows our Father sharing His rule with us, the saints.
(Revelation 2:2, 27) says, “And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give
power over the nations:”
He who overcomes is further identified as the one who keeps my works until the end. To this faithful believer
Christ promises the privilege of ruling and reigning with His kingdom and sharing in His royal splendor.
Verse 27 “And he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers:
even as I received of my Father.”
Only those believers who are overcomers and who persevere in obedience to the end of life have the
promise of being coheirs with Christ.
So here we have it church, two choices, your choice. Good verses evil, the righteous and the unrighteous.
You have the signs of the time
You have the end of the world
You have nations against nations
You have famines, pestilences and earthquakes
You have knowledge so you think
You have Christ and the false prophets
You have the gospel for the world
You have time running out

Yesterday was the Old Testament.

Today we have the Old and New Testament with the spirit of prophecy. Tomorrow------tomorrow we know
not the hour.
