Merging two DBSWIN Databases

1. Open the ldbs.ini (with a normal text editor) located in path C:\dbswin\bin




2. Change the “SOSRunDisabled=1” to “SOSRunDisabled=0”

3. Save the ldbs.ini
4. Start DBSWIN and shut down DBSWIN (It´s necessary that dbswin copied some modified gdbs.ini
   and objdef.ini to the folder C:\dbswin\dbsos

5. Open the ldbs.ini again, deactivate the path for the gdbs.ini by a semicolon in front of the line.

6. Start DBSWIN, the following message appears

7. Now DBSWIN had create an empty database in the folder C:\DBSWIN\DBSOS.

8. Close DBSWIN

9. Copy database files to be merged
   Copy all files from the not integrated database into the DBSOS database folder (all files of the
   folders Database, Vidimg and Xrayimg, but not the „DBIDENT.INI“ files.)

  Copy all files from the database folder except dbident.ini (from the not integrated database) to
  the folder C:\dbswin\dbsos\pr1\database
  Copy all files from the xrayimg folder except dbident.ini (from the not integrated database) to
  the folder C:\dbswin\dbsos\pr1\database
  Copy all files from the vidimg folder except dbident.ini (from the not integrated database) to the
  folder C:\dbswin\dbsos\pr1\database

10. Start DBSWIN the following message appears




Click Yes




11. Open the ldbs.ini
    Deactivate the SOS mode and activate the path for the gdbs.ini by deleting the semicolon

    Change the “SOSRunDisabled=0” to “SOSRunDisabled=1”
    Delete the semicolon in front of the line Global.ini

Now the two databases are ready to use.
