                                                       December 2012

                         Lunch and Dinner: - Two courses £17.75 -                  Three courses £23.50
                                                Coffee and chocolate mints £1.95

                                   Served with freshly baked bread and butter
                        Winter soup of pumpkin and squash with a balsamic reduction (v)
                   Ben’s oak-smoked salmon with a dill and mustard dressing, watercress salad
                            Grilled goat’s cheese with toast, caramelised red onion (v)
                            Coarse pork pate with toasted brioche and apple chutney
                                   Gnocchi with fresh basil and rocket pesto (v)

                                                          Main Course
                   Served with braised red cabbage, parsnips, carrots, and seasonal greens
Roast breast of free-range turkey with pigs in blankets, stuffing and gravy, cranberry sauce, bread sauce and
                                           rosemary roast potatoes
         Salmon fillet roasted with cherry tomatoes and fresh basil pesto served with roast potatoes
        Kettle cooked gammon with a creamy mustard cheese sauce, served with mashed potatoes
                             Beef bourguignon with horseradish mashed potatoes
                    Goat curry with basmati rice and a poppadum, Geeta’s mango chutney
                Puy lentil and sweet pepper hotpot with a pine nut and parmesan topping (v)
   Mushroom stroganoff – garlic, paprika and Madeira – served with basmati rice and crème fraiche (v)

                Traditional Christmas pudding served with a clotted cream and brandy ice-cream
                Warm chocolate brownie with a chocolate-Cointreau sauce and coconut ice-cream
                       Baked lemon cheesecake with fresh cream and Autumn fruit coulis
                         Bread and butter pudding (panetone) with hot dark-rum cream
                            Stem ginger and honey ice-cream with buttery shortbread
                        A medley of blackcurrant and champagne sorbets with amarettini
                                  Selection of cheeses with chutney and crackers
