Product Description-The Psychic
Beryl Parker grew up in the old world of fairgrounds and con artists. After years of wedded bliss with Charlie, they had managed
the best con ever! But a year later, Charlie dies, leaving Beryl penniless and in hiding. One day while walking through a local
market, she sees a sign for a fortune teller and sits nearby to listen in on what was going on. It was perfect! Such a great scam.
It wasn't long before she's set up her own stall and five years later, she's living in a grand Victorian house in the best part of
Cardiff. She has money in the bank and takes luxurious holidays. But Beryl should watch out who she reads to, because
sometimes they come back for more.

This review is from: The Psychic (Kindle Edition) This story 'The Psychic' is a quirky tale that is at once captivating and good to
read. After a little backstory we get down to basics. This woman is a con artist. However things start to go awry for her and there
is an unusual and surprise ending. Definitely worth taking a look at, I think you will be pleasantly surprised.

Interesting and unexpected, June 4, 2012 By Brian McKinley "Author" (Chicago, IL)
This review is from: The Psychic (Kindle Edition) The story is about a elderly woman named Beryl who is an old con artist, once
part of a husband and wife team, who is barely scraping by now that her husband is dead until she goes into the psychic
reading business. Things take an unexpected turn at her latest seance, however.Without giving too much away, I generally liked
the story and found the style to be very fitting of Beryl's outlook and personality. Very early on, I had a feeling that I knew exactly
where the story was going, but was pleasantly surprised to be proven wrong! That's a big plus for me, since I've read tons of
horror and supernatural themed stories and have learned how to pick up "the big twist" when executed poorly. High marks to the
author for successfully throwing the reader a curve! On the minus side, I found it odd that the story was divided into chapters and
wondered what the point of that was. I'm not sure it's an authorial choice or a requirement of the publisher, so I'm not too...

A slice of childhood, June 15, 2012 By Bobble
This review is from: The Psychic (Kindle Edition) When I was a child we used to start each Sunday with a cooked breakfast and
a video taped Hammer House Horror film. The Psychic would have fitted into one of the portmanteau style of movie brilliantly.
The main character of this story is a con artist who finally gets a taste of her own medicine. I won't go into further detail because
I don't want to spoil the twists in the tale.I have updated this review. I originally complained of grammatical errors, turns out
Margarita knows more than me on teh subject. Apologies and I humbly give the four stars I promised...You should read this - its
