Being a Chicago Police Officer, Ronan deals in facts, not lore. But when his ex-girlfriend, Cathy O'Toole, the lover he's never been able to shake, tries to prove there's truth behind all the magic, he reconsiders his skepticism. Soon they're on a hunt for a missing coin, which eventually leads them back to their Irish village of Talamh an Óir, home to not only a vengeful leprechaun, but a Faerie King with a wicked sense of humor. Through it all, Ronan's one and only desire is to regain Cathy's love...which is proving to be as magical as Irish Lore itself. It was fun to see how the gold had brought good fortune into the lives of friends. So if you suspend belief--or if you really do believe--in little people and faerie kings and curses, it is a fun read. I liked Ronnan and Cathy. 2 of 2 people found the following review helpful Irish Kiss is the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, April 1, 2012 By Plume Sobriquet This review is from: Irish Kiss a Books We Love Mini Romance (Love, Lore And A Wee Bit of Larceny) (Kindle Edition) I've been a Mary Leo fan ever since her Harlequin Flipsides (romantic comedies). In Irish Kiss, I love the way she mixes whimsy, reality, family, love, and myth. Mary's story telling skills promised and delivered.I think great writers write from their heart, which in turn makes characters come alive. It's evident Mary lives there.
