Product Description-Defiance (Fall Of An Empire)
“Defiance” is an action packed thriller with a fascinating twist of conspiracy and science fiction that's so believable you'll wonder
if it could happen in your life time. In an atmosphere of civil unrest not seen since the days of Abraham Lincoln, one brilliant
scientist makes what could be the most significant scientific breakthrough of the 21st century. Her technology could topple
powerful corporations and decimate the economies of several nations. Threatened by government, behemoth corporations,
organized crime and a corrupt banking industry, Dr. Ann Ford finds unexpected allies in one of the most prestigious universities
in the world and the state of Texas. Backed powerful friends and unprecedented technologies she defies the most powerful
                                                         institutions on earth.

This review is from: Defiance (Fall Of An Empire) (Kindle Edition) This is a well done and imaginative novel in an emerging sub
genre which rests solidly on right wing discontent with the direction our nation is taking. As a member of the growing disaffected,
what is more a faculty member at the most southern University in Texas, I found this vastly entertaining. It harnesses a powerful
vision of technocratic subculture with a solid foundation in conservative constitutionalism. I recommend it without reservation
and look forward to the next volume in the series. The action is fast paced and the political subtext is clear without being unduly
heavy handed. The emergence of this type of literature bodes well for the right but may well presage tempestuous times in our
future. The word "secession" is prominent, need I say more?

This review is from: Defiance: Fall of an Empire (Paperback) I am one that likes to read but usually doesn't, so sometimes it's
hard to find a book I really like and can't put down. I began to read this book and it had me from the first clear till the end. I loved
it! I can't wait for more to come out by Tom Ryker. 5 STARS!

Thoughtful and entertaining, June 7, 2012 By Lisa Anderson (Orem, UT USA)
This review is from: Defiance (Fall Of An Empire) (Kindle Edition) Tom Ryker's "Defiance" is a very enjoyable read. The
characters are interesting and you quickly get involved with and concerned for them. The plot is engaging and the details made
me stop and think. I highly recommend this book; it's entertaining while making you think about the current state of our union
and where we're headed.
