West Branch Recycling
 In order to use the West Branch Recycling Center
      you must live in one of the following areas:
     City of West Branch, West Branch Township,
     Ogemaw Township, Foster Township, Horton
  Township, Edwards Township, Churchill Township,
  Klacking Township, Rose Township or City of Rose

We are currently accepting ONLY the following items:
             #1 and #2 Plastics ONLY
  Look for Recycling symbol/number on the bottom
             of containers-discard caps.
       Glass, Tin and Aluminum Containers
 West Branch Recycling
           Hours of Operation:
        Tuesday 2:00 – 6:00 p.m.
         Saturday 9:00 – 1:00 p.m.

You must present your recycling card each
          time you use the facility.
  Individuals without cards will be denied.
Ogemaw Boys & Girls Club!
   This is a latchkey program which runs
   from 4-6pm on school days. There is a
   large variety of educational, recreational
   and cultural programs to enrich young
      Ogemaw Boys and Girls Club is a
             non-profit Corporation.
      Call Ellen to register or with questions.
For anyone interested in volunteering, or sending a

 The Ogemaw County Genealogical and
 Historical Society at 125 South 5th street is
                  open from
              10am to 2pm on
           Thursdays and Fridays.

   We welcome school groups and other
organizations for tours. For more information
             call 989-343-0177.
The second printing of the book 100 Voices Through
    100 Years is now available at the museum.
The Salvation Army – Good Samaritan
    fund people are present each
        Monday through Friday
       from 10:00 am till Noon.

The Food Bank is open on Wednesday
       during the same time.

           Hydrant Flushing
    The City of West Branch Department of
Public Works will be flushing hydrants starting
    September 17, 2012 and going through
 October 31, 2012. During this time you may
 experience rusty water; if this happens, just
let your tap water run for a few minutes and it
    should clear up. The rusty water is not
  harmful to you. Check you water condition
 before washing any laundry; the rusty water
    will stain your clothing. If you have any
 questions concerning this procedure, please
          contact City Hall at 345-0500.
