                          Paine, Tarwater, and Bickers Welcomes New Associates
       Paine, Tarwater, and Bickers, LLP is pleased to announce the additions of Katherine Sanford Goodner and Ryan
Connor as the firm’s newest associates.

        Kati grew up in Knoxville and went to Wake Forest University where she received a B.A. in English. After graduating
from Wake Forest, she returned to Knoxville to attend the University of Tennessee College of Law. During law school, Kati
was honored as a University of Tennessee Law Scholar and Graduate Assistant. She was involved in many different
organizations throughout law school, including the Business & Tax Law Association and UT Pro Bono, Saturday Bar. An
active participant of Law Women, Kati served as President and Philanthropy Chair while in school. Kati has also been an
LSAT and GMAT instructor at Kaplan Test Prep, teaching strategies and concepts to help students succeed on standardized

         Ryan, a Knoxville native, received his B.A. in History from the University of Tennessee and is also a graduate of the
University of Tennessee College of Law. Two of Ryan’s noteworthy honors include the 2010 Advocates’ Prize Champion &
Best Oralist and the Harshfield Award for Excellence in Civil Procedure. Ryan was the Student Materials Editor of the
Tennessee Law Review and has been involved in moot court; both of which have strengthened his writing and speaking
skills. During the summer and fall of 2009, he was a judicial intern for U.S. Magistrate Judges H. Bruce Guyton and C. Clifford
Shirley, Jr.
