We are a medical practice, aiming to provide full general medical care
and advice on all health related matters.

We are in Lambeth Primary Care Trust. (1 Lower Marsh SE1 7NT)

We accept patients from the area covered by the map and are
committed to equal access to health care for all, regardless of age,
infirmity, race, sex or sexuality.

                 PREMISES OPENING HOURS
Monday-Friday 8am - 6.30pm
There are pre-bookable extended sessions from 7.30am on Thursday
mornings, until 8.00pm on Tuesday evenings and from 9.00-12 on
Saturdays

Sept 2012 1
APPOINTMENTS
Appointments can be booked several weeks ahead. You may choose
an appointment with any of the doctors although not all of them are
available every day. Appointments can also be booked over the
internet via our website but you will need to set up a secure password
first. We try to stick to time but there may be emergencies or other
unexpected problems that cause delays, so please be patient. We book
ten minute appointments in general surgeries if you need a longer time
for a particular problem, please ask. If an interpreter is needed, we
can book an appointment with one, or use a telephone interpreting
service.
But if you have a medical problem that cannot wait until the next
available appointment, please telephone the surgery and leave your
details with a receptionist. The duty doctor will telephone you a little
later to assess your problem and deal with as appropriate. This could
mean issuing you with a prescription or asking you to visit the surgery
for a face-to-face consultation.
(Please be sure to cancel unwanted appointments in good time to enable
someone else to use the appointment slot)

VISITS
If you are unable to come to the surgery i.e. you are too ill or
housebound, please try to make your request for a visit before
10.30am. Please give your name, address and phone number to the
receptionist. It is helpful if you can give some idea of the reason for
the visit. There is a rota for visits, but when possible you will see your
usual doctor.

OUT OF HOURS EMERGENCIES
There is always someone at the surgery from 8am to 6.30pm, Monday
to Friday, to take your call. Outside these hours, an answer phone will
have details of how to obtain advice. We are members of SELDOC, a
co-operative of local GPs providing out of hours cover, (020 8693
9066). A receptionist will take your details and a doctor will call you
back. You may be offered telephone advice, or asked to attend the
SELDOC base at Dulwich Hospital, East Dulwich Grove, SE22 8PT.
If it is needed, a doctor may visit.
Advice may also be obtained from NHS Direct on 0845 46 47 or
www.nhsdirect.nhs.uk.

Sept 2012 2
REPEAT PRESCRIPTIONS
For safety reasons, we do not take telephone requests for
prescriptions, except by prior arrangement from the housebound. A
repeat request slip is attached to each prescription. Please keep this for
your next order. Prescriptions will be ready in 2 working days, or can
be posted back if you enclose a stamped addressed envelope. We can
also accept on-line requests for repeat prescriptions if you have
registered for this service. Please do not let yourself run out of
important regular medication. At intervals, we will ask people on
regular medication to make an appointment for a check-up.

TELEPHONING THE SURGERY
If you wish to speak to a doctor, we offer booked telephone
consultations with all doctors, mornings and evenings.

TEST RESULTS
Check with your doctor or nurse how to get results of tests you re
having. Please allow 5-7 working days. If you are unsure, please
phone reception between 12.30 and 3.30pm.

CONFIDENTIALITY
Please let the receptionist know if you need to discuss something of a
confidential nature away from the desk. There are cards in the waiting
area which can be used for confidential requests.
We are registered under the Data Protection Act, and identifiable
patient data will not be released without consent, or ethical approval.
Patients may access their medical records in line with the Medical
