Sample email subject No. 2: Thanks from the AMA—join us again on <DATE>
Thank you for stopping by our American Medical Association (AMA) table during orientation. It
was a pleasure meeting you, and I hope I was able to help you learn more about the AMA—and
the benefits of being a member.
The AMA unites physicians nationwide on critical professional and public health issues.
Becoming a student member provides you an opportunity to make a difference at the national
level. The AMA is the one organization that represents all physicians and medical students at
every stage in your career. Medical student debt, reasonable clerkship conditions, expanding
coverage for the uninsured—your membership helps to ensure that students have a voice in
Washington on these and other important issues.
You can also influence the <CITY> community through our local section at <MEDICAL
SCHOOL> by participating in the AMA Medical Student Section (AMA-MSS) National Service
Project and other public service endeavors. You’ll have ample opportunity to develop as a leader
through local, regional and national leadership positions. We also host a number of events—
some educational, some just for fun—throughout the year.
<In fact, we will be holding a [EVENT] from [START TIME] to [END TIME] on [DATE] at
[LOCATION]. Hope to see you there!>
Feel free to email me at <RECRUITER EMAIL> with any questions, or if you would just like to
learn a little more about our local section. If you’re interested in joining, visit ama-assn.org/go/

Together we are stronger!
