									Renewable Energy Project Development

Social Media and Communications Officer

You will work as part of a small stakeholder engagement team running the community engagement
process for regionally significant infrastructure and environmental projects. You will be employed
by a local renewable energy development company working to their Communications Manager. You
will be located in County Down/Antrim.

Duties & Responsibilities

You must have the ability to carry out the following duties working to a budget

    1. Design and implement project social media strategies, manage social media platforms
       starting with Facebook and Twitter;
    2. Content manage the project web site
    3. Support and take part in public information campaign involving public events, exhibitions
       and meetings;
    4. Operate a contacts database and consultation response system; and,
    5. Set up and maintain accurate paper and electric records

Qualifications & Experience Required

This is a full time post. You must be prepared to travel and will also be called upon occasionally to
work unsociable hours as the job requires. We are looking for a candidate who can start as soon as
possible. The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate that have the following.

                                                     Experience in the environment, energy
   Education to degree level
                                                      sector or other relevant field

                                                     Experience of stakeholder liaison
   At least two years work experience
                                                     An understanding of the environmental
   Experience of working on social media in a
                                                      context for renewable energy development
    professional context
                                                      in Northern Ireland

   Computer literacy across a suite of
    programmes
                                                  
   Excellent communications and organisational
    skills
                                                  
   High emotional intelligence and the
    interpersonal skills to work with a broad
    range of individuals

   Ability to work under public pressure and
    media scrutiny

   Initiative to work unsupervised

   An eye for detail and the need to follow
    procedures and policies carefully
