Guidelines for Distribution of 16% Enrichment Funds between units.
NOTE. These are suggested distributions. Agreed upon variances are acceptable
Notes 1. 16% eligibility arises from multi-unit involvement in either category
2. After the IAF has been fully signed, no changes can be made to the current year allocation indicated on the IAF
3. Cross or joint appintments are only eligible if the role of the department is substantial
4. Research site is not necessarily synonymous with College/Department appointment
5. Distribution based on Research unit can also be based on estimates of direct cost expenditures

Eligibility for 16% distribuition requires that each unit provides services that are unique, substantive, and essential.
The standard criteria for elibiity are HR primed appointments and research space.
Other criterion need the prior approval of the SADR and should be detailed seperately
Please be award if a unit(s) outside the College of Medicine is participating in the proposal,
allocation of enrichment funds to that unit(s) should also be considered in the calculations.
