Coordinator of Testing, 1983 - present.
Selects and trains testing staff, makes contractual agreements with testing companies,
and oversees national and institutional testing programs to provide services to over
10,000 WSU students, prospective students, and community people annually. Testing
is done individually and in large groups. Coordinates WSU Credit by Exam program
with departments and faculty members. Provides distance testing services for
students from other institutions. Provides both paper/pencil and computerized
testing services to students and community members.
Works with community groups, local companies, and national organizations to
administer and score tests, and provides information about the appropriate use of test
information. Consulting activity: Yearly achievement testing of homeschooled
children for teaching parent association.
Administers psychological, intellectual, and personality testing to Counseling and
Testing Center clients. Participated in a team that trained and supervised doctoral
interns in the use of assessment. Consulting activity: Worked with a local agency to
assess handicapped individuals for psychological adjustment and program placement.
Consults with faculty, students, community professionals, and the public on
psychological, intelligence, and career testing instruments and the interpretation of
test results. Makes presentations to students, faculty, and community groups on test-
taking strategies, career decision-making, and student development issues.

Field Representative - 1979
Worked with teenagers individually and in groups, in Wichita and surrounding areas,
to develop leadership skills and conduct community projects. Prepared and made
presentations to students in elementary, junior, and senior high schools on volunteer
opportunities, and recruited student council members for a leadership development
conference. Led workshops for youth on assisting elderly people, decision-making,
alcohol use, and methods and types of leadership. Coordinated programs with
personnel from other social service agencies to provide more services to youth in the

Special Interest Area
Conducts workshops using the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® assessment. This
training has been done on and off the campus with students, professionals, and office
workers. Since 1996, has taught a class for the WSU College of Education on
personality type theory and teaching/learning styles. Consulting activities: Graded
essay exams for more than 15 years for the Association of Psychological Type
International (APTi) and Consulting Psychologists Press, Inc. to assess proficiency
level of professionals after they received training in the administration and
interpretation of the MBTI®.
Since 2001, I have been the Editor of the Bulletin of Psychological Type, a 48-80 page
publication containing articles by experts on the MBTI® and type theory which is
distributed quarterly to the 4,000 members of APTi.
