CURRENT POSITION AND ACTIVITIES
Working as Assistant Professor and Deputy Head of Mechanical Engineering department in the School of Mechanical
and Manufacturing Engineering (SMME), NUST, Islamabad, Pakistan since February, 2010. Job responsibilities include
teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate level, research activities, supervising students projects, managing
laboratory equipments and curriculum design at undergraduate and postgraduate level, coordinator school seminars,
member of technical and guidance committees, industrial coordination

       The application of novel technique i.e. ultrasonically-assisted cutting for minimal invasive orthopedic surgeries
       Measurements and comparison of drilling thrust forces and temperatures in conventional and ultrasonically-
        assisted bone drilling
       Development of thermo-mechanical finite element model of bone drilling
       Characterization of bone material properties
       Analysis of cracking phenomena in cortical bone under sharp wedge penetration using Micro-CT
       Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) and Nanoindentation of the bone specimens
       Damage assessment of drilled holes with both conventional and ultrasonically assisted drilling using Micro-CT
       FE modeling of tool penetration in bone composite structure

MS THESIS

“Design, Analysis and Testing of Push pipe joints”
      Worked on a industrial design of Push pipe Joints
      Developed fully parametric finite element models of two concepts of Push joints in ANSYS

      Verification of FEA results via mathematical results
