This week for Spelling Homework, you must complete this contract, using all spelling words. You may choose
any of the activities you wish, but you must have at least 50 points by Friday. Your parent must sign the
contract once you have earned 50 points. Please turn in all completed work with the signed contract on
Friday. Staple your assignments together in the order they appear below with this page first. You can only
do each activity one time for each spelling list. Remember to use your best handwriting!


_____1. I will use a thinking map to classify the words according to how many syllables each one has. (10 pts.)
_____2. I will draw a picture of my spelling words. (10 pts.)
_____3. I will write each of my spelling words 5 times each. (10 pts.)
_____4. I will rainbow spell each of my spelling words. Write your spelling word with a crayon or marker. Trace
over each word again with another color. Now trace each word one more time with another color. (10 pts.)

_____6. A parent will scramble the letters in my spelling words, and I will unscramble the words. (15 pts.)

_____7. I will use a thinking map to classify the words according to nouns, verbs, adjectives, adverbs, etc.
_____8. I will draw a picture and hide all of the spelling words inside. (15 pts.)
_____9. I will write each spelling word in a sentence. (20 pts.)
_____10. I will cut letters or the spelling word out of magazine and glue my words on to a sheet of paper. Ask
a parent before you begin this activity. (20 pts.)
