(Crushed Limestone, Limestone Base, Rip Rap, and Gabion Stone)
If bidder should be adjudged bankrupt, or if he should make a general assignment for the
benefit of his creditors, or if a receiver should be appointed on account of his insolvency,
or if he should persistently or repeatedly refuse, or should fail to conform to the following
specification, or if he persistently disregards laws, ordinances or the instructions of the
owner, or be guilty of a substantial violation of any provision of these specifications, then
the owner, after giving three (3) days notice thereof, in writing to the bidder, his agent or
representative shall have the right to terminate any contractual agreement, or policy that
affects an award of this bid.
Crushed limestone shall be a clean material and free of excess dust. Crushed limestone
shall conform to specifications listed in the Tennessee Department of Transportation
Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction, dated March 1, 1995 and
more specifically Section 903.05. Weights must be mechanically produced, no hand
written tickets. Rip Rap must conform to the specifications listed in Section 709 of the
Tennessee Department of Transportation Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge
Construction, dated March 1, 1995.
This contract shall be for a period of one year, beginning July 1, 2012 and ending June
30, 2013. Bid prices shall be for the entire length of the contract.
Bidder must be able to certify through Tennessee State Inspection that the materials bid
will meet or exceed the above stated specifications.
