The roar of the fireworks screams in my ear,
They are so loud my parents talk but I can’t hear.
The taste of the treacle toffee drifts to me,
The smell is as good as can be,
The smoke makes it hard to see.
I feel a burst of excitement as the fireworks set off into the sky,
It’s amazing how they can shoot so high.
All different colours fly about,
I can say this is the best display without a doubt.
With the bright fireworks we don’t need light,
It’s sad to say that’s it for bonfire night.
