FLEX OBLIGATION:

Full-Time (A) Load:
       First Year FT Faculty: Obligation is 50 hours
       Second Year FT Faculty: Obligation is 40 hours
       Every Year Thereafter: Obligation is 30 hours

Full-Time Over-Load (AC)
   AC faculty DO have a FALL 2012 FLEX obligation for classes taught on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and
       Thursdays. The number of hours of obligation for the semester is equal to 1 hour for every hour you
       teach on these days; (Examples: 1 hour class on T and Th = 2 hour obligation. 1.5 hour class on T and Th
       = 3 hour obligation, 4 hour class on W = 4 hour obligation.)
   There is NO Flex obligation for the AC in the spring 2013 semester.

Instructors fulfill their contractual flex obligation (both A and AC) by:
1. Attending Mandatory and/or Optional Flex Days workshops/department meetings.
    (Presenters receive double hours of FLEX credit.)
2. Participating in (Variable) Flex Activities which are posted on the District’s “Training Workshops and FLEX
    Sign-up Site” (http://www.losmedanos.edu/intra-out/staff/flex.asp ).
3. Participating in a Dean-approved (Variable FLEX) Special Project. (All Special Projects need PRIOR
    APPROVAL by your Dean.) Special Project forms are found at http://www.losmedanos.edu/flex/.)

ACTIVITY PLAN:
 Please complete appropriate portions of the form (on page 2) throughout the 12-13 academic year.
 Submit completed and signed forms to your Dean for approval by May 24, 2013.
 Copies will be kept in the Office of College Advancement for future reference.
