FREE COURSE FOR YOUR GROUP Selby District AVS Sustainability Training Programme This is an exciting and dynamic new course focusing on the sustainability of your organisation. The course will cover all aspects of running a voluntary / community organisation. Participants will work through a range of practical exercises, developing action plans to be implemented and exploring different ways of working. Topics will include; Governance, Financial Management, Staffing, Service Delivery, Marketing, Funding, Fundraising, Social Enterprise Development and Strategic Planning. The training programme is free and is open to Trustees, Staff and Volunteers. One place is available per organisation and only 15 places are available. As the course is spread across a number of weeks if you are unable to attend certain sessions you will be able to send a substitute from your organisation. The Sustainability Training Programme will consist of 9 training sessions and a follow up session. Dates and times The 9 training sessions will take place on Tuesdays from 10am – 1pm on the following dates; 9th October, 16th October, 23rd October, 6th November, 13th November, 20th November, 27th November, 4th December & 11th December 2012 The follow up session will take place on Tuesday 12th 2013 February from 10am - 2pm Venue All training sessions will take place at Community House.
