DOGGER BANK WIND FARM – Zonal Survey
Mariners are advised that hydrographic surveys of the Dogger Bank wind farm are planned to
commence using the ‘Kommander Jack’. The vessel is owned by Hays Ships under contract to GEMS
and will be carrying out a series of surveys on behalf of Forewind. The survey commenced early July
and is expected to continue through until September / October 2010.

Nature of the Operations
This vessel will be used to carry out geophysical survey within the following area: -
The table contained within the above chart contains the coordinates that depict the outer edges of
the survey area that the vessel will be working within.
The work will involve towing a mini streamer (length approx 100m towed between 1 and 3m below
sea surface) and a sidescan sonar towed approx 10-15m above seabed and 100m behind the vessel. .
The fisheries liaison officer on board the vessel will be Pete Sanderson or Mike Radley. They can be
