Directions:
LABELING: Label the outline map with the following states, cities, land areas and
bodies of water/rivers.
COLORING: You will need 3 colors. Use blue for the water, yellow for the original
colonies and green for the land areas added after the American Revolution as a result
of the Treaty of Paris of 1783. You may use colored pencils, highlighters, or crayons.
Make sure that all labels are easy to read.
KEY: Complete the key on the map. One block should be labeled water, another
labeled Original 13 Colonies and the third land gained after the American Revolution.
Make sure the colors of the key match the map.
Use your textbook to help you – there are many different maps that can be useful.
Some examples include pages 106, 112, 117. 205, 212 and A1 and A3 in the front of the
book.
This is a project, which means that it should be completed in ink.
Points will be deducted for turning it in late.
Make sure to put your name on it!!
