Quote from one health visitor after Universal Training :
I..found it immensely useful… The leaflet Talk Together (Helping
Babies and Young Children Learn Skills For Talking) is brilliant to aid
parents at the 2 year check alongside the Speech Therapy Drop In
clinics. A handout on what to look for and what to expect (in) speech
sounds 0-11 months and up to 60+ months is also a good aid…we
were given a ring binder with lots of advice on :
Speech and Language Development
Referrals to Speech and Language Therapy
Useful Online Resources
Attachment
I would really encourage staff to attend this course…..
