You will support the MD Finance with the successful delivery of the financial business plan and will also have a focus on risk management and internal audit . MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB: The jobholder is a member of the organisation’s leadership team working closely with and supporting the Chief Executive and the MD team delivering the corporate aims and objectives of the business To lead, manage and motivate colleagues and contribute to the neighbourhood investor values of Passion, Innovation, Excellence and Respect To ensure the continued operational excellence of a strong Finance Team KEY TASKS: 1. Overall responsibility for statutory reporting including leading on technical accounting issues 2. Control of the corporate financial business planning process for the group. 3. Responsibility for the group’s risk management function 4. Implementation and monitoring of efficiency initiatives throughout the group 5. Responsibility for implementation, monitoring and delivering of the Group’s Value for Money strategy 6. Responsibility for monitoring and ensuring performance against the financial strategy April 09 7. Responsibility for VAT/ tax planning and monitoring of charitable activities 8. Involvement in implementation of the pension strategy and day to day and technical support to HR and payroll on pension matters 9. Oversee the implementation of continuous improvement programmes within Finance 10. :Lead liaison with internal and external auditors 11. Managing 4 direct reports including personal development plans 12. Treasury management responsibility relating to group cash flow management and covenant compliance 13. Implementation of change management as appropriate NB: This Job Description forms part of the Contract of Employment of the person appointed to this post.
